Administration

PRINCIPAL

Jenny Andrews, Principal

I am extremely excited to serve as your Principal again this year and so proud to be a Dragon! SERVICE is my ultimate goal as an administrator, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the entire Greenfield community. I believe every child should be inspired to become a lifelong learner by cultivating his/her unique gifts and talents in a safe and loving environment. We want Greenfield to be that place for your students!

I grew up right here in Chesterfield County. I received my BBA in Computer Information Systems from JMU and my Masters in Business Administration from the U of R. I later returned to U of R to receive my Teaching Licensure and Leadership/Administration Certification. I continue to be inspired everyday by students’ innate desire to learn and grow.

I have a supportive husband Paul and three beautiful children – Savannah, Michael, and Allison. They are thrilled that I serve at Greenfield, as it is a place they called home during their elementary school years. In my free time, I enjoy running/walking in the neighborhood, relaxing with family and friends, playing with our dog Rascal, and serving at church.

We will be sharing our story and all the great things happening within our school through various outlets with hopes of reaching everyone. Every week, you will receive a school-wide email message detailing the week ahead. Please know my door is open to you, as communication is the key to a successful partnership. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work together. They deserve it!

Assistant Principal, Sarah Burnham

I am so excited to return this school year, serving as your assistant principal.

Prior to working at Greenfield, first as the Literacy Specialist, I taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades in Fairfax County and at A.M. Davis Elementary in Chesterfield.

I grew up in the Short Pump area and love calling RVA home!  I attended William & Mary for my undergrad degree and began my teaching career in Fairfax County teaching 3rd grade.  During this time, I earned my Master’s in Reading Education from UVA and moved back to Richmond.  I taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade at A.M. Davis Elementary before becoming the Literacy Specialist here at Greenfield.   I then completed my Administration and Leadership degree at VCU.  I like to consider myself a solid representation of Virginia colleges and will happily cheer for any of these sports teams!   My husband and I have two daughters, Paisley (6 years old) and Mackenzie (4 years old), and an energetic labradoodle, Piper.  We enjoy spending time at the beach and river, exploring new restaurants, and hanging out with our family and friends.  I love to run, swim, and read in my free time.

Education and teaching have always been my passion and I bring that love and energy to Greenfield each day.  I look forward to watching our Greenfield Dragons grow this year as they explore, learn, create, and imagine their futures!
